How to Prevent Spam Comments From Flooding Your Blog Posts

If you own a wordpress blog, you must have notice at one point that your blog was attracting hundreds of comments that looked irrelevant to your blog’s post.

I noticed that whenever I logged into my blog’s admin area. It took awhile for me to realize that these comments were not written by real humans but automated softwares or bots.

So I sought to find a lasting solution to prevent these spam comments from flooding my blog posts permanently.

My research was successful, and it fetched me these wordpress plugins for stopping spam comments by robots from invading my blog posts.

SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam: this wordpress plugin adds CAPTCHA anti-spam methods to WordPress forms for comments, registration, lost password, login, or all. Before your blog’s readers can post comments they will have to type in the code shown on the image. This prevents spam from automated bots, adds security, Works hand in hand with Akismet. As shown in the image below:

It is also is fully WP, WPMU, and BuddyPress compatible.

Another cool plugin is the Disqus. You can view it live beneath my blog’s comment box.
